Stephen Colbert is the bravest man in the world. I watched the White House Correspondents Dinner and He was Frickin ON . I felt sort of uncomfortable like some secret service guy was going to shoot him at any moment. Man I think most of the old cronies in the audience were scared too most of them weren't even laughing. Was there a whiff of blood in the books?

This weekend I attended our local library's book sale . It is an annual event concluding with "Bag Day". On this day shoppers can get all the books, records, CDs etc they can cram into a relatively large bag for 2 dollars . Sounded like a great idea to me . Well, I arrived a little before 10 thinking I was a little late and to my surprise I was met by quite line of people waiting to get in as it didn't start until 10. Man these people were really hungry for literature, or was it just the thought of a bargain. Well. It was definitely the latter .It was like a bunch of starved sharks attacking a school of book shaped fish. I was really only interested in digging for some records so I was away from most of the fray. These people were shoving each other to pack their bags full of books that they didn't even know the titles of , they were just jamming them in the bags. The romance area was especially volatile anyone unlucky enough to be crouching to look at the history books in the next aisle was sure to be trampled. I overheard a lady telling her 6 or 7 year old son to push his way past someone or he wasn't going to get anything. Another lady told the woman he was trying to be polite. To this she responded "well he isn't going to get anything that way" . I walked over to see if there was anything interesting in the science area and was jostled quite rudely by a woman with two bags crammed full of random fiction one on her way to the kids section. The thing is there wasn't even anything really interesting on the first day much less on "Bag Day" it was really just a sad sight. I wonder what sort of frenzy you could whip up if the things on sale were really even worth having. I mean these are the books no one even wanted to read in the first place.

David Blaine is F%*#*ing Magic

Ok I am a skeptic I need the scientific method or at least some kind of tangible proof or at least some kind of evidence to believe anything .That said , David Blaine is fucking magic! For real and I only saw him on TV. He fricking Levitates , He has some random person do the pick a card thing and then shuffle the deck and then he throws the deck at a restaurant window and then the card is stuck to the inside of the window facing out. Explain that well can you I didn't think so . Then the just telling people what card they are thinking of and then the have person think of someone and then write their name on a piece of paper then set the paper on fire and rub the ashes on his arm and then their name is on his arm in ashes what is that ,I will tell you ....Magic.

It seems that with huge monetary success corporate greed and fear even the most admired will turn to the dark side. It appears that bite out of the apple has turned brown and spread the rot to the whole apple. They seem to have lost all sense . The info presented by Apple Insider and PowerPage only provided free buzz for the company. It is true that apple seeds contain cyanide and if you consumed enough you would be poisoned.

Daylight Stupid Time

Today is the first day of daylight savings time. WhenI say fiest I mean First in my lifetime . I live in Indiana and up until now we were a proud state the understood nature and could tell that sometimes the sun comes up earlier and sets later. That was until the moronic voting population of our state ,rather than investigating the potential govenor's credentials and history , were swayed by big green signs and catchy catchphrases. Mitch Daniels decides to push daylightsavings time and our representatives who dont seem to represent anyone failed to stop it. So now we are just like everyone else and that sucks.

Coop Speaks for Me and everyone I grew up with

Coop has nailed it in this essay about seventies superheres ,the real kind. Maybe the reason most of my friends think that everything sucks now is because everything was so cool when were little. What ever happened to watching can am racing on sunday afternoon on Wide World of Sports . Remember when this meant all kinds of sports not just basketball and football maybe NASCAR . there used to be real racing and ski jumps or that crazy soccer with dirtbikes.

I have been thinking this for some time now and tody was the last straw. What is the matter with TV designers ,you know the type the pretentious TLC designers . Now , not all of them just the ones that suck . Why cant they just talk normally ? There is nothing worse than these so called artists who think that need to make up words or just misuse them in order to seem artsy or something . One of the worst is when they repaint a table and use it as a desk or just use an old piece of furniture again in a different room and say they the are going to repurpose it . That's not even a real word! Then today this idiot set designer masquerading as an interior designer show a drawing of a cabinet and he says ." These doors open to visualize the shelves " ......... What the fuck is that you open the doors and there are shelves inside ! Yes I am Yelling! Maybe he could say that if you open the doors you can see the shelves but visualize . I wish I had a magic TV transporter so I could go inside the TV and scream at these people to their faces. My dad was an interior decorator for years ( that was before they made up the name interior designer because designing a room sounds so superior to just decorating ) He never repurposed anything . Ok so that's all I have to say about that . Actually I do love those shows maybe I just miss Paige.

Grammar and Punctuation

I recently went back and read some old postings from this blog. I am the king of the run-on sentence. Perhaps I can make the excuse that old jack didnt use much in the way of punctation or maybe I am just a literary rebel. Either way I think I may have to go edit myself .

The effort is too read the opinion (or skip over) the opinion of the guy who gives him the FREE Stuff.

Here is a handy hint to avoid pissing people off or hurting their feelings (Depending on the situation) . NEVER USE THE IGNORE FEATURE . Please axcuse the terrible all caps yealling . Just silence the ringer then the person calling will more likely think you dont have your phone handy or didnt hear it ring. If you hit the ignore button ,sending the caller directly to voicemail they know you looked at he screen saw their name and didnt want to talk to them. That sucks, Be Nice No one want to be snubbed.
